Where to get a headliner for 51 Packard ?

Quite a regular

I have a 1951 Packard 4 door. (can remember what model - will look up later).

Any recommendations please on where to buy a headliner ?

If you want a headliner that will fit but may not be quite the authentic color or material then Kanter Autohttp://www.kanter.com/content/ecatalog/00033.htm will make them. You can request a sample of material to see how close they can come. If you want to try and duplicate the original, then possibly a place like SMS Autohttp://www.smsautofabrics.com/ or others dealing with old fabrics will be able to provide a good match to the original material and a local upholstery shop can make it up.

I got mine from Kanter. The only problem was that I have a custom 8 and the the bows go forward to aft. They must have sent something that was side to side. Other than that it was great.

Did Kanter actually have a fore-to-aft headliner kit for a Custom? Wow - that does surprise me. Some folks I know have had to have them made up from bulk fabric.

Kanter does advertise the fore and aft kits for Custom 8 and "other cars that need" it for an extra $75. Would guess one has to be very specific and clear when ordering or will get the regular style.

Good advise. I would have expected that from the guy that installed mine. Which he did not. But in the end it came out right and it looks great!
