I've been staring at these for over a year, and even with the same part number on both tags, I have been unable to figure them out. Appears to be 303949 - not in my 35-41 listing? Anybody recognize these? thanks in advance...

Do you have any information to indicate that it is a Packard part? There are plenty of 303XXX part numbers used postwar but it's not listed for 1948-54 so may be prewar, or may not be a Packard part.

I checked the 41-47 Clipper parts book and no such number there either.

the second picture looks like either a distributor clamp or a road draft tube retainer clamp

I was thinking something like a shaft bracket that bolts to frame with the semicircle as a locator--maybe mechanical brake or RHD component.

Not sure why you are suggesting RHD, but the parts did come from Australia, and from a pile of NOS Packard parts, so indeed, if something is twisting your Packard brain to the Right, follow...

I've done quite a few brake jobs on the Packards with the Bendix mechanical brakes up thru 1936, doesn't look familiar to me.

OK, so where the heck is the road draft tube retaining clamp hidden in the stupid parts book. I've been searching for 10 minutes.... It doesn't seem like that would be it, unless the road draft tube for a RHD car comes out past the block further to allow for the depth of this item?
