A member has recently purchased this 1930 Packard Model 7-45 sedan. He is not aware of any others than exist, but would certainly like to find out. If any others are known, please let us know.

Edit: This is the Model 423 five-passenger sedan.

Not that I'm aware of either, but is it a 5 passenger or 5-7 passenger?

Hi West

I can't say for sure if it is the sole survivor but it is the five passenger body style number 423. Of the factory- built sedans, compared to the seven passenger types, the rear of the body is much shorter, more like the club sedan except it has the quarter window.

I love the 745 hood length, it was created only for its impressive look, not function. The description of Packard's Seventh Series body/chassis proportioning is explained on page 298 of the Kimes-edited history.

Lucky gentleman to have bought such a great Packard!

Steve

Added later today: Hope you don't mind, West. Just had to have a closer look....
