Should a .026 spacer be installed in place of wavy washer to achieve proper stack up, or make all adjustments at selective washer postion? Thanks Gerald

IMO, that would be the proper way to do it since they issued a different spacer to make up the difference when the wave washer was eliminated.

Would think making all the adjustments at one end would throw something else out of tolerance.

Here is is the pertinent part of the last instructions Studebaker issued on checking end play. STB-331

If you don't have a 55 Twin to scavange for parts you can just buy the little "wave washer eliminator kit" from Kanter Bros. but you'd still be smart to check the end play and adjust if needed.

I bought that kit from kanter,my 56 contverter had that big spacer, plus the wave washer,

i contacted pete,,ultra dynam, contacted blond at kanter,,because it is confusing ..trying to see just what replaces the wave washer.

so it looks like you just leave out the wave washer. and double check clearance.
