Currently have information on 35 1940 110 convertibles , with the highest number being 5219.......which means at least 3219 110 converts built..

With that much play (1941 120) the first thing I would check are the rubber bushings at the end of the pitman arm.....

According to Service Counselor Vol.21 ,No.13 Dated July 15, 1947, all new replacement 6 cyl. engines will include the crankcase ventilating equipment which was used only on the taxicab engines....This counselor also explaines the various parts used intake manifold to engine block with some pictures.......

!941 chassis 1904 (138"w/b) with overdrive uses a one pc. drive shaft part# 364857, do not know the length. The 1904's without od use the two pc. shaft.......

It is the first 1940 Darrin built 1806-2001. Alive and well in Calif..................

The 1940 180 blond translucent tenite dash was called "Onyx" by Packard, the later color (introduced around Dec. 1939) was called "Brown" by Packard...........

The rear brake drum part #351423 was used from 1940 to 1955 on the larger series on the 127" wb. The 1956 rear drum (127") can also be used, just have the hub removed from the worn drum,and rivet it to the 56 drum. I have this done by a shop that does truck brake work. Be sure they check concentricity between the hub and drum............

All 1940 hood ornament bases are the same length,as they are attached to the top of the grill shell part #348646 which was used on all series 110 thru 180.....
