Ok this is not a Packard.
this guy has serious issues, I think if he would give the truck away that nobody would react on the ad.

There was a guy selling a Jeep last year that ran a similar ad with all the do's and don'ts he would accept from someone responding to his ad. At least most of his requirements were humorous and a couple were downright funny.

At least the Ford Rodders are building their own cars from scratch and not chopping AACA cars to make junk buckets. These people chopping Packards don't have a clue. An off the shelf Chrysler 200 will destroy any chopped car so why drive around in a piece of junk? I guess if you want to look like somebody who doesn't know anything about cars then chopping Packards is a good way to make your point.

I have experienced owning cars that carried over their previous owner's personality. That Chevy truck is one I wouldn't touch. Its stigmatized.
Look how long he wrote to expose himself and how short I confirmed it. Three of the five old cars I own came from really nice people, luckily the Packard was one.

Hi

WHY? Greed on the part of the seller, narcissism on the part of the buyer, and a complete lack of historic appreciation on the part of both.

But, here's some real Contours for a buyer who prefers his Packard be all Packard:

A '52 200 sedan, plain-Jane but nice shape except gold grille:
http://toledo.craigslist.org/cto/4679160569.html

That nice '52 Mayfair still available:
http://fortwayne.craigslist.org/cto/4679368148.html

An elegant gray '54 Clipper sedan ready-to-enjoy:

NOS hubcaps for a '54 Clipper:
