Detroit Lubricator 51 float level

Does anyone have the correct float level for the Detroit Lubricator 51 carburetor for the 640/ 740 model Packards.

Mine is currently set at 7/8" below the top of the float bowl which I think is too low. At 9/16" below top of float bowl it is just at the point of flooding so I am thinking the level should be about 11/16" below the top of the bowl but it would be good to know if there is a factory spec.

I checked several sources, they are consistent at 13/16" to 15/16" below the top face of the float bowl; at 7/8" you're right in the middle of that specification. Attached is the reference sheet from Chilton's, 11th Edition.

Thanks Dave, that is exactly what I needed even though the answer is surprising. This carb has been assembled from parts with a reproduction brass bowl all from a source that does not have the best reputation. However its encouraging that the float level is correctly set.
I recently fitted it to the car for its first start after a very long restoration and could not get it to fire. Spark and timing all check out and the car fires if I put fuel in a few cylinders so it is not getting fuel from the carb.
I thought it might have been low float level but your reference rules that out
Interesting device this DL carb, my other cars have the more simple Packard air valve carb.
