G'day Charles,
to PackardInfo but sorry I can't answer your question with confidence. Looked in the Parts X-Ref under Lubrication which shows some for earlier and later and may fit yours.

And, I invite you to include your 22nd Series Packard in the Packard Owner's Registry here on PackardInfo!

Could someone tell me the filter for a 48 Deluxe with the 288. I just bought it, the oil looks good, but want to change it before I put it away for the winter. I was unable to find anything in the xref list. Thanks in advance.

If it won't move, get a bigger wrench.
If it breaks, it needed fixing anyway.

If factory filter setup, should be the same Napa 1080.

Yes, it's the factory set up. Thank you HH56, you have been a great help in answering a lot of my questions.
I was also wondering if anybody has converted to a full flow filter, and is it practical?

Full flow would be very difficult since the oil pump discharges directly into the main oil gallery, so there is no easy way to divert the flow out of the pump.

Had a rough idea that there was a reason it wasn't like that from the factory. Thanks.
