You may find them available but it's almost just as easy to just buy some flat shim stock and make them yourself.

Besides, you almost never have to add shims. To get the end play right you are almost always subtracting.

Thanks for your inputs. You confirmed what I thought. I found the axle vent was all plugged up, so I cleaned everything up and will wait to see if that fixed the issue. Otherwise I should have all the parts in a week or so and will tear into it then. Again, I really appreciate your expert help.

Marty - The rear axle bearings are probably the most overlooked maintenance item in our Packards. Many have failed especially on tours. If the seals have been leaking bearing grease has been washed away and this will cause the bearings to fail sooner than later. Good idea to get in there and do a proper job. Just my unsolicited advice.
