PackardGuy:
I have seen them on eBay often for $8 each up to $20 for a pair. You might look for complete door latch assemblies as well. Here are some current ads: cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NOS-nash-packard ... sid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=65%3A12|39%3A1|72%3A1171 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NOS-packard-huds ... sid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=65%3A12|39%3A1|72%3A1171 DanL

My friend Joel Ray (packard1) said that the problem is that the star wheel on the inside gets chewed up and that causes the problem. Earl Serjup, of MN Packards, told me the same thing. I have a driver door that closes only half the time or less. He said one of the cogs on the star wheel is broken. He said that replacement star wheels have had the same problem. SOOOOO.. I quite SLAMMING the door harder. I just close it with normal force and the next cog on the wheel catches it and it closes. I don't know how many cogs on those star wheels? I think it may be 4. DanL

Correction!
When it doesn't close, I manually advance the star wheel (on the back edge of the door). Then I close it normally and it catches smoothly. It is the inside part of the star wheel that tends to get chewed up and break off. Then that cog does not work properly. DanLmanually

If you can't find Packard parts to repair the latch, try to get a Chrysler kit, some of the parts including the latch wheel interchange.
