G'day Flatlanders Speed Shop,
to PackardInfo. Sorry I can't suggest other sources of clutch parts, just a little too far away from you to be able to do so. However I invite you to include your '56 Patrician Touring Sedan in the Packard Owner's Registry.

Match a Ford pressure plate by diameter and Chevy clutch disk by diameter. Or send them out to Fort Wayne Clutch.

Seems like Clutch & "Clutch cover" are similar to '50s Oldsmobubbles...A little research is in order. The pilot bushing is a toughie, lengthy tread here someplace going back about 5 years. A Patrician with a 3 on the tree- or in modern parlance "Millennial theft deterrent" is an oddity!
Good luck.

I see that Bendtsens makes a conversion for the 352/400 to 700r4. Will this work for the 374?

That's great, love it!! My '54 Studebaker has a double deterrent - three on the tree, plus the starter button under the clutch pedal.

The $150 throwout bearing and the $59 pilot bearing are for those who don't know how to search for interchanges. There exist generic bearings, clutch disc and pressure plates which interchange with the Packard. For example, the '66 Ford Fairlane 390" GT and various '50-'70s Ford pickups use the same 11" clutch disc and pressure plate; a kit with both is less than $150.
Just make sure you check your flywheel. The smaller Packards were drilled for 10.5" pressure plate and 5/16" bolts. Your Patrician should have an 11" pressure plate and 3/8" bolts. However, these now have been through several hands and stuff gets swapped. I recently saw a '56 Patrician with a '55 Clipper 320" and manual trans. jack vines

g'day all, converting my 38 Richards 120 to a 1954 327, I used a Ford CFD 25102 Pressure plate, a TBA 339 throw out bearing and a ACTGM10 pilot bearing. The pilot bearing converts the untramatic crank to a manual crank. Don't forget to machine and balance your flywheel. Good Luck Peter Toet
