Guys,

I am going to be off the grid this week as my mother suffered a major stroke this weekend and had to get airlifted to a hospital that could treat her. Prognosis unknown at this point. Just wanted to leave a little note so no one thinks I am ignoring them.

Regards,

Here's hoping that she's stable, that the hospital was able to administer meds that may be able to reverse some - if not all - of the damage, and that they will be able to get to the root of the problem and correct it.

Barring other issues, prospects for surviving a stroke and regaining one's quality of life are a lot better than they were 20+ years ago.

Cardinal Kevin -- All best to your mother, you, your family and circle. It says leagues for your devotion, class, thoughtfulness that even at a pressing time like this, you bother to check in with us. Regardless how wrapped up we get, this is still but a hobby. Without you, we wouldn't have this sterling site, the best vintage/classic auto site i've ever seen, befitting Packard. We're with you.

Kevin, sometimes medical issues are harder on the family and friends of the patient, God be with you and your family too.
