This is currently on eBay. Intrigued about the body style. Was there ever a '34 Packard custom built with such a fast back body or is it just the model manufacturers imagination at work?

Looks like a 1934 12 LeBaron coupe. A gentleman here in NJ has one in his collection which I had the privilege to see a few years back when our local Packard Club went there. He also had a 34 12 Dietrich Convertible sedan and a half dozen Darrins to mention a few.He also has all the post war show cars except the Predictor.

Four were built, and four exist. The Marano car mentioned earlier, was restored after the car was completely burned in a fire. A completely original example is owned by Bob Bahre, another is owned by Harry Yeaggy in Cincinnati. Both Bahre and Yeaggy own the triumvirate of the 1934 LeBaron Packards: Boattail, Dual Cowl Phaeton, and the Sport Coupe.
The fourth sport coupe is also in the east, but I have forgotten who owns it. I believe it is in New Jersey.

It should also be noted that Marano owns a triumvirate of the LeBaron cars as well, but his phaeton and boattail are replicas.

If you happen to be in Nashville, you might be interested in seeing the Packard in person at the Frist Center, along with other period automobiles. They have a exhibit running from June 14 to September 15, which looks to be of excellent quality.
