1932 Packard Deluxe 8 Starter Retaining Bolt

The threads in the starter housing stripped (there's a little "thread meat" left) and I was wondering if anyone knew what size is the bolt and what threat pitch is it? Before I drill it out and tap it for the next size up, I wanted to see if anyone out there makes a slightly wider bolt to make up for the stripped portion of the threads.

Can you use a HeliCoil thread insert? JWL

I think the fact that it's a curved surface might make Heli-Coil potentially problematic.

PS - apparently not an issue, I'm advised you could countersink the hole a bit and seat the insert a bit lower.

Thanks, O_D. I was not sure and posted the question as a possible way to repair the damaged threads. JWL
