A "few" pic's of the '41 Le Baron at the Nethercutt.
See the running board delete option is on Ross's.

Steve - (or anyone else) If you would be willing to take on a disastermobile project, I know where a Lebaron Sport Sedan could be obtained, along with a proper parts/donor car.
Lebaron limo also abailable....

Hi All
Dave: The two-tone ex-Wolf Sport Brougham was the first one I saw in person at Hershey in the '90's. This was long after the first time I became aware of the model was in the Tornquist book in 1967. Shortly thereafter in 1968, an unrestored one was advertised in a Cars & Parts magazine for the 'huge' asking price of $2,000. I'll dig out the issue when I return home from Colorado in a few weeks...just to show what we all missed. Ross: The dark blue example would be a dream come true, the ultimate elegant three-box sedan proportions in the prefect color. Flackmaster: As much as I'd love one, a disaster-mobile project would be well beyond my skill and financial capabilities. I do hope it finds a conservator who can take on that difficult, worthwhile project. Mal: Nethercutt had such great Classic Era design taste, the Sport Brougham in his collection has to be one of the best, thanks for the photos. Steve

But, BDC, those wonderful '34 LeBarons all fall outside the $200,000 limit here.
Here's another '41 LeBaron Sport Brougham, in need of a new home, perhaps this is the one flackmaster is speaking of. And yet another, this one belonging until recently to Jeff Guss here in northern New Jersey. And lastly, one with neither sidemounts nor running boards. I'm trying to recall the numbers of the Sport Broughams, something like 99 built and about 38 remaining?

O-D, I didn't realize I was on a $200k budget
Well a 1934-1936 super 8 (convertible) coupe. Hmmm I'm pushing my budget again on some of those.

Hi Dave
That rough Sport Brougham is about the worst I've seen, does it come with another 1907 model donor car? A region member has a weathered formal sedan that's at the tipping point in condition where it might well be a donor for this project. The Sport Brougham production number generally cited is 99, which given it was a series custom sounds reasonable. It was coachbuilder practice to do those series custom styles in blocks, 100 would be normal. Wonder what happened to the one body short...? Curious about survival myself, between PAC and CCCA rosters I counted 18 cars without duplication. I'd guess maybe 25 altogether in all conditions. It would be great if the survival was as high as 38. Like all pre-war Packards, the early 1950's NADA Used Car Guides assign prices below $100 when these cars were ten to twelve years old but still in good salable condition. Small wonder so few were saved. Steve
