1938 super 8 again
stlouis.craigslist.org/cto/4980096504.html There have been a few 38 super 8 touring sedans floating around (3 that I can think of) that can't seem to find a new owner. All in that $45-50k price range. I think 1 finally sold in an auction in January for $29k. Is this the ugly step child in the senior prewar line?

It's 23rd April, here in Oz, and being Shakespeare Day wouldn't surprise me.

Apologies for digressing.
Though a purist at heart I do enjoy mechanical challenges and this will be one that is far more challenging than just installing a production diesel. My friend Ed up in NH who appears to have entirely too much time on his hands has been working for some time on making a SOHC cam version of a Packard 356 engine. There is some commentary on the PAC forum for those with interest. It will ultimely be installed in a 1936 "120" club sedan. Seepackardclub.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2411 if interested.

To each their own I guess. I draw the line however at the place where one loses sight of the brand's original design intent.

1401 convertible coupe up for sale on ebay, but the color strikes as odd. Was this an official color available in 36? Also the reproduction factory plate makes me wonder if this car started out as a regular coupe from the factory.
