Correct me if I'm wrong, but I always thought pre-war cars had generators, not alternators. Besides the garish paint job, the interior bothers me too. I would think that the interior leather would match the rumble. While the wood graining on the dash looks OK, I would have thought that the tops of the doors would be wood grained as well. And last but not least, can anybody tell me what that red thing is on the steering column? I guess it's an after-market turn signal.

You can make a lot of really neat things from the parts left over after you rebuild your engine ...

The seats are too flat and don't have the "buttons" in it anymore. The rumble seat has no arm rests. The arm rests in the door are wrong.

@bumblebee: yes it should have a generator but this 1 is "upgrade" to an alternator and most likely 12v. Electronic ignition requires 12v.

You're somewhat right, postwar Packards had generators as well. Alternators came along some years after the last Packard.

Here is a '56 Executive with some merit in FL.
Seller however is unfamiliar with the market.

Hi

A potpourri of years, models, conditions:

A '51 300, great shape for a cheap price, surprising it hasn't sold yet:
http://spokane.craigslist.org/cto/5434231846.html

A '53 Clipper Special two door, appears to have the B-pillar trim, possibly a Sportster, pricey:

Thanks ptv, there's the right link:

A '57 Clipper Town Sedan, looks very solid, they're usually rusty, good project start, $800 Cheap!:

A '50 Eight club sedan, weathered but solid project:
http://medford.craigslist.org/cto/5451190579.html

Finally, a '52 Patrician 400, correct interior, power windows, expensive, maybe less than current restoration costs:
