Car looks great, congrats on reaching this epic point after the years of hard but very enjoyable work!
Glad to hear you possibly are considering another project . . . a '39 110 sounds interesting. I will personally be interested to hear more about the drive testing, something that I'll be doing in a month or two(- hopefully!)

The wiring diagram is great! Would you be willing to share a copy of the Adobe Illustrator version?

I don't understand the headlight bulb issue as they are replaceable without even opening the hood. Perhaps I mis-read it.

A little update. Needed to dust off the car (literally) as I haven't driven it since I moved in Sept and really taken it out since I experienced a shifter issue in May.
Something weird happened back in May after driving it at a weekend long event in downtown here. I went to reverse and while I could feel it indent and kick into reverse, the column indicator was pointing st 'D. Like the shift geometry suddenly changed. So I haven't wanted to drive it as I didn't know of the problem was in the column or something with the shift arm in the tranny. So today I pulled the steering wheel off and realized that the levers between the column shift rod and the indicator had come loose. The indictator was getting stuck and caused the arm attached to the top of the shift rod to break loose. So I greased the indicator pivot point and reset the geometry between the two and locked everything back down. Working like a Dickenson Orphan again! Trying to make a push on the car so I can bring it out to the PI Meet in a couple of weeks. Life is getting back to a point where I can work on the car and actually take it out again. Stay tuned for more updates.

Ditto what Mal said (hi, Mal!). I haven't been here much at all for a good while as my project has taken a back seat. In fact, the back seat is still out of the car, sitting in a pile of other interior parts that I hope I'll be able to remember how to reinstall at some future date when I am able to scrape up the dough for the reupholstery.
In addition, I still haven't had the energy to pull the radiator again to have it properly cleaned and repaired. The first guy just pressure cleaned it, and clamed to have pressure tested it too, but it sprang a small leak and the car still overheats. I think it needs to be hot tanked or rodded out properly. Adding to my dismay and fueling my procrastination, I drove my pickup into the back of the bumper-less 48 while attempting to put the truck up on ramps for an oil change in my shop. Put a nice dent in my formerly pristeen (but unpainted) trunk lid and lower panel. Sigh. I'm thinking it's about time to get back to this project. This forum inspires me.

I learn the hard way to manage a huge project as series of discrete steps, each with its own beginning and end. I think people jump into large projects and start spinning too many plate at once and then it becomes overwhelming. Good luck with your project. Take lots of pics as they are a great record and really help later on when you can remember things.

Spent a little time today putting some wax on that car. Also had to buff out a couple of minor scratches that appeared on the car in the shuffle of all the moving.
I went from having a dedicated garage for the car, to a garage that is also our laundry room and overflow storage from merging two households. So not as much free clearance around the car as before.
