Can't say much for the sellers description. It appears to be a 52 instead of a 53 and that is one funny looking V8.

Maybe the "V" part of the engine fell off somewhere on the road and so all of the cylinders were squeezed into this part of the remaining engine ...

You can make a lot of really neat things from the parts left over after you rebuild your engine ...

I think the 36 has some interesting and nicely done styling. Workmanship looks high level. Overall look is pleasing. Forget it is called a 'Packard' and enjoy. Just my opinion.

That interior is amazingly clean for sitting so long. The body looks pretty straight too. Decent price as well.

Hi

More pre-war choices:

A '32 Standard Eight sedan, looking good except the orange wheels:

A '39 120 sedan, 40 year ownership, ready to enjoy:
allentown.craigslist.org/cto/5851160608.html

A '40 110, project, listed as a '39 and complete, pricey:

A '42 Clipper six, solid project:

1939 touring coupe. It's a little too blue for my taste but it looks like a good deal for someone that can live with the color:
lakeland.craigslist.org/cto/5877373821.html

Talking about an off color:

I don't know much about postwar cars but this seems like a very nice unmolested example:
