So I found a similar one one ebay. This one has a shaft style that may be more suitable to adopting a Packard knob to. Also it appears to come with tabs/stops to set the range of motion.
ebay.com/itm/291027822430 I figure for less than $15 it's worth a shot. Figure I can dial in the temp ranges on the bench and see if it works. I may need use a relay to reverse the NO/NC operation. But I guess I wont know for sure on that until I bench wire and see how it works. I have a instant read thermocouple that I can use to try to dial in the temp range on it.

I've just got one question, which one of those handsome guys is Gerry, and which one is Mr.BigKev!
That is one totally cool radiator. Hey....that's even funny! totally cool...get it? Seriously, I lurk this site frequently without signing in but want to say this is the absolute best Packard site on the internet. I shall also assist in making "Project A/C" a success. Happy holidays to all...

I have occasionally been accused of fabrications concerning Packards--but this is real. Sorry, you only get what is above the cylinder head.

Ross, that is an awesome bracket! Thank you!
Also thanks to Gerry for the "Rare as Hens Teeth" Radiator, it will find a good home in the Clipper. Gerry has a pretty amazing collection of Postwar parts that rivals the boneyards I have seen at some of the vendors. If you need something Postwar, he probably has it.
