The Bronco radiator is listed as 29" wide. The 51-54's have a 26" wide slot for a radiator. Has anyone used a 53-56 Ford Truck Radiator in a Packard?

You are correct the outlet is on the wrong side. I will need to pipe the water back to the passenger side. My fab skills aren't good enough to move the outlet.

I would wonder if there is enough space to get a hose clamped on the outlet and 90'd to connect to a pipe or continue the hose on across without it being too close to the fan or the vibration damper.

Take it to a shop and have them move it.

Got my 57 Golden Hawk rad re-cored at Carnegie radiator in Pa for $480. Very nice workmanship. Kept top and bottom tanks.

I hear alot of radiator repair shops say the old tanks have micro fractures. I've never heard of this before myself....

Hmmmmmmmm, micro cracks, too small to see so the tanks need to be replaced too because the tanks have a micro virus. Maybe. When my 1951 Packard sprung a leak the shop replaced the core and fixed a large dent in the top tank.....that was 3 years ago and the tanks are now almost 70 years old. In my life time I'm guessing that I've had 15 to 20 radiators fixed with out "micro cracks" ever being mentioned or one of the radiators leaking from a tank rupture/leaking micro crack. I think the guy who told you that meant that he uses crack and you thought he said micro crack???
