"'39 120 club sedan, claims prototype for the style"

In the ad it also says "is missing a headliner" in which case it might be easier to verify its construction as a Club Sedan?

Also looks to have '40 Senior taillights(I think?), and cloissone hubcaps.

Pretty sure this one has been commented on previously.

As far as I know, the Club Sedans, at least for 1940, still had the quarter window stamping under the skin. I've seen several under restoration that had them. The biggest change was to the upper corner of the rear doors which were rounded on the Club Sedan while they were square on the Touring Sedan. Of course, there was no 120 in 1939 either - it was an Eight.

Note the armless hood ornament which was exclusive to Earle C. Anthony.

Good afternoon Mal...Yes, I believe we have seen this girl before and perhaps for a bit more money. She may have been 'updated' in a few areas...but a nice old girl to 'take to the dance', non-the-less. If only these old girls could talk and tell us about their experiences! How is your 50 doing these days? Our 49 is just chugging along like a Packard should. Ernie in Arizona

@PackardDon

In 1938 the "120" was called eight, but in 1939 it was called a 120 again.

Didn't think so but I've been wrong before so I looked at the sales brochure for 1939 and see that you are absolutely right. I stand corrected and happy for the knowledge gained!

4 packards: 1931 he calls a light eight. I cant tell if it's a light eight but if it is than its obviously a 1932. Also 3 6-cylinder packards: 1937, 1938, 1940.

That Indianapolis Patrician looks like a 1952 instead of 1951. It has the one-year-only 1952 ribbed wheel covers, and the lowered wings on the hood ornament.
