1954 Patrician with Factory Air Conditioning. Seems complete and in good condition.

At that price and in that condition, they'll have their "Patricia" for a long time! As it is, it's been posted several times before and keeps coming back for the same amount.

I'm just not understanding why the 1951-1954 Packard Automobiles are shown such disrespect? Can someone enlighten me please. The only comment Dolores made when we were shopping for a Packard...I wanted a 1929 or so and she a 1949-50. She said 'The 51-54 cars look too much like Chevys'. As you might expect, our 1949 'Miss Prudence' is just what Dolores wanted! She is a good girl! Go figure! Ernie in Arizona

while she may be a bit hard on the design, I'd phrase it as the 51-54 shape being less distinctive from other vehicles'.

What's curious about denigrating comments about the Contour-style body architecture its by and large in the same idiom as the '49 Ford: a fully-integrated envelope format. GM wouldn't arrive their fully-enveloped body until the 1954 Oldsmobile 88 and Buick Specials and Centurys.

Ford are nicknamed 'shoebox' Fords by the rod and custom community.

Proud 1953 Clipper Deluxe owner. Thinking about my next Packard, want a Clipper Deluxe Eight, manual shift with overdrive.

The only fault I find with the 51-54 Packards is the grille is too heavy for my taste and the dashboards too plain. However, compared to GM I think the Packards looked great. Chevrolet was the only GM product not over styled, fussy, and garish. As for the 49 Ford I always liked it. It was functional and professional. Originally it was offered to Studebaker who played parsimonious corporate and lost it to Ford.

Interestingly, the top of the listing indicates that it is in Glendale, CA but farther down the tiny description (which says nothing specific about the car) says it's in Minnesota but that it has a Wisconsin title!
