I'm sure some of you have heard of this museum in Elizabethtown, Ky. If you are ever traveling North or South on I-65 through Kentucky this would be a good place to stop. Its only about 8 or 10 miles off the interstate. Of course the Corvette museum is only 60 miles south.

There are about 40 cars in the museum and there are about 20 more in an annex a few miles away. I will check out the annex when the weather warms as its not heated.

The curator is very helpful and will gladly tell you all about the vehicles inside.

Since I am still relatively new to Packards I have to say that this is easily the most Packards I have ever seen in one location before. The 1928 443 pictured below is beautiful and all original inside.

The only non-Packard below is a 1933 Cadillac Fleetwood 12 Cylinder. There were only about 80 ever made and this in 1 of the only 2 left in existence. The curator is very proud of this vehicle.

More information can be found on their website:http://www.swopemuseum.com/

Stewart,

Saw your reference in another post that you were going to the Swope Museum and because of that already had a look at their website. But I must say your photos are great, thanks for posting them. In my next trip to the US, slated to be for Hershey in 2015, I will try to include the Swope Museum as part of my itinerary.

The Swope museum is only a mile or so west of I-65. Well worth the trip.

How's this for an ignominious end to a 33 Cadillac V-12? Years ago I knew of a nice original 33 Buick Limited that suffered the same fate.
