Did Packard use 2 different sizes of hubcaps in 1950? I have 2 sets and one is smaller than the other...

If yours look like the ones in this post, and subsequent posts in that thread, there could be your answer.

Look at the parts list to be sure(on site). Each part number is a different one.
I seem to recall there were two rims, with and without mounting tabs, so they mount different. I think they changed with trim level. I know mine are not supposed to have blackout paint, but others have paint.

There were at least two different rims but I'm pretty sure that they all had the clips. However, the wheel covers are not interchangeable due to the recess on the back of one that the other didn't have. As far as I know, the first clipless wheels were in the '51 and up era (not sure which year was the beginning or end), such as 1953 Clipper. On these, the smaller wheel covers popped over some nubs that were stamped into the wheel and, of course, the full wheel covers had their own clips to the edge of the rim.
