Mal - It was all worth it in the End, what a lovely drive..
started last year as you may have read waiting on spares from Kanter had abit of a problem but it got sorted.
now i think i might be looking for a VRD-4001B Regulator as my battery is running down or should i say not chargeing?
also have clutch judder when pulling off.But other than that she runs very well it was her first drive under her own power in 8 years! I must say, i like the way people look at the Packard as you drive along the road!!

(so all i have to do now is repair and adjust etc)

Mal, I am not sure - was it your engine with the bearing problem? (sorry to hear about your engine)
kind wishes Bill.

Bill,

No, not my engine, it belongs to my mate Wade. He's having no luck himself after building engines and doing lots of work on other peoples Packards!

Hi William

Nice looking car.

Jeppe Tyres can get you the original spec tyres, with the wide white wall. They are flipping expensive (R18000 for six), but they look soooooo good.

Some parts for the Pines Winterfront are available here.

I just received the lever that connects to the rod that opens the shutrters. It was a pretty good match for my 32 Packard.

Cheaper Sylphon Thermostatic control can be gotten cheaper at Hirsch although for a 32 the flanged needed to be machined down and holes drilled to fit a 32 radiator.
