Does anyone have a source for valves & guides besides Egge?

IIRC Kanter told me a while back that not all of their valves and guides come from Egge but that they had some sourced elsewhere, so you might check with them. And I'm curious, have you had quality issues with Egge valves or guides - they are pretty much the standard in the trade.

You have to be more specific. You can't just say so and so's product is no good. That is technically not even legal. What happened with the pistons?
I've put Egge pistons on a scale right next to original Packard stuff from 1933 and by golly they weigh within a few grams. Of course the original auto-thermetic Packard stuff is better, but you have to get that from the Packard dealer.
