Kevin, I would like to throw a spotlight on a problem.

After adding a pic to one of the Packard dealerships an automatism causes, that a copy of this pic is also shown in the Photo Archive, section "dealer photos". So far so good.
Today I took notice that I added a photo to the wrong dealership and therefore I deleted it. But there is no automatism that deletes the copy in the Photo Archive and no possibility to manually delete it.
After adding the pic to another dealership we have two copys of the same picture in the Photo Archive.

The next paragraph isn't related to a mistake but contains a suggestion for improvement. The above mentioned automatism copies the pic but unfortunately without related comment. If possible please copy the related comment too.

Gerd, which picture actually needs to be deleted?

The problem is that when a new picture is added to a dealership entry, it calls a routine that also blindly adds a copy of the picture to the photo archive. The dealership entry has no tie to the picture in the photo archive, nor does it know it's record ID number. Basically they are in completely different storage tables. So while I can push a copy of a picture into the database, there is no way without knowing its record ID to automatically remove it.

Luckily I can prune it manual as issues come up.

Kev, I hope that this list helps you to delete numerous duplicates. I haven't found all of them but not many have escaped.

BTW Mike (mlgrimes) plowed through the category of "Un-filed and Unidentified Packard Photos" and identified around 100 cars.

With over 12,000 pic's in the Photo Archive that was truly a herculean task undertaken and completed.

I don't have access to be able to delete pic's but I can go through the "Un-filed and Unidentified Packard Photos" that Mike has plowed through and update the around 100 cars to the correct year/category.

I managed to get several copies of the J. P. Mooney company dealership photo loaded in with the same picture but a couple without information.

I don't recall how many duplicates are in that I couldn't fix or delete.

There was one with the correct information.

Mal, thanks for taking great pains over mastering this task. As far as I see you've got them all. 137 pics have a new home. Now, after dwindling the numbers down I found even a stowaway.
