New owner of a 1951 Packard 200 Deluxe. I was reading some specs concerning the Ultramatic; is it true that it only holds two pints of fluid? Sounds low to me. Thanks.

Welcome A.B. Worth checking the Service Manual (available here at Ultramatic Manual)
for when you eventually need to re-fill your transmission. To prevent overflow of ATF it suggests adding 7qts initially, running engine for 2 mins (to fill the converter) then adding the remaining 5qts.

Sounds good Larry. I downloaded a lot of information yesterday. That's good advice.

Hi A.B. Greetings from warm, sunny Northern Virginia (yeah, right ...). I would sure like to see a photo of your car.

You can make a lot of really neat things from the parts left over after you rebuild your engine ...

Hey Mr. Bumble. There is a picture in the owner registry. I have others if you'd like to see them.
