Mal, thanks for posting the link. I enjoyed it. The first car I actually remember in detail was the family Nash (1950).

The red International with wooden flor, single arm wiper, central lubrication and ratchet brake is halfway between a truck and a horse carriage.

A 3-way between a truck, horse carriage and a tractor!
It's not without reason that international got big with tractors and combines! @Guscha; they used to make international / McCormick tractors in Neuss, (right across the Rhine from Dusseldorf) all in metric, or you could buy the English version made in the UK in all SAE and English thread!

We went to one our favorite yearly events. Had five orphans parked in a row all of which one trophies. Weather was not great as you can see need for coats also had a little rain but great day in spite of weather. The old Chevy which the owner restored in 1965 was very nice as was the owner a gentleman and craftsmen as he did the work himself is now in his mid 80's

Tuesday afternoon I was in Idaho about 20 miles east of Boise (trying to catch my flight) when I passed a prewar packard! I was in a hurry, but I'm 99% sure it was this one:
packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/registry/index.php?Action=view&ID=647 Small world, even when you're 1200 miles away from home.
