Had the circle and V on the grill, but the crest moved to the hood.

This 1938 super 8 formal sedan has been here before but the price dropped $30k this time. With the caddy V8 in it I still don't think it's realistic. If someone wants an 38 320 to put in it I've a running spare.

You can't imagine how much fun it was to dye and then rinse something like 15 yards of original white and black fabric to green and black. That was done using Rit dye. Bought a huge galvanized garbage can and installed a couple of electric hot water heater elements in it to heat the water and dye. Another for the rinse. Even more fun to try and hang all that wet cloth up to dry without any touching the floor.

All that was left in the car of the original AC was the control pod, external fender vents, and the flat louvers on the package shelf. The trunk evaporator case was hand made and exterior wise, looks as close a duplicate as I could do -- even to the Frigidaire name. I never finished the AC. Had started another project and the fellow that bought it wanted it just as it was. Apparently he never finished it either but says he has all the parts. I know it changed hands a couple of times before he got it back. He has many many Packard parts and cars so wonder if some original AC parts found their way to the car.

Here are before and after photos. This was all before digital cameras so I didn't take many photos and have none of the AC evaporator I built.

That's great seeing your old Pacific again, and it looks good. Goes to show that PackardInfo is a great Packard resource.

And great for missing Packards. Is a reunion in the makes Howard?
