Made good progress on the driver's door... The top of the door where it meets the top of the quarter had to be built at an angle for a good fit and eliminate any rubbing when opening and closing the door. I installed a bear claw latch... much safer than original style.
Next is the handles and linkages. I will probably build the passenger door before I skin them.

Spent the morning welding and grinding on the doors. They are now ready for sand blasting and primer. The outside door handle is installed and looking good.

Incredible work! Far beyond anything I've ever attempted. Looking forward to more progress.

When I considered the trunk lid prop, gas spring, and the scissor prop were the choices. Then I was at the Marina a few weeks back and saw these hatch props that are simply a tight wound springs.
This will add a little touch of vintage individualism. I can fasten to the inner trunk lid with a couple of small screws. Maybe 8-32. And the bottom of the spring will fasten to a little metal bracket that will weld to the bottom of the drip trough along the side of the trunk opening.

I have had no luck finding the clamps that holds on the bumpers so we drew the shape and made a batch of them. These will be painted the same black as the frame.

I have extras in case anyone out there needs them.
