I have to agree with "The Flackmaster". When one sees that the wheel rim on a car is rusted through then you need to do a complete appraisal of all major structural areas on the car such as the frame. If they approach the same degree of "rustitis", then IMO it is best let her go to the smelters.
Find another case out there and save her. It is to be working on a restoration case where one knows there is light at the end on the tunnel.

John, Looks like you have quite a project. I say go for it. I have seen cars in much worse shape brought back from the grave. Remember that when they are gone they are gone forever. Best of luck.

Hey John,
Wow, that IS a project!!! In as much as I agree with the folks who say it isn't worth it, I laud your ambition and bravery! Good luck and if there is anything I can help you with, I sure would. Guess I too, am a sucker for an underdog (the car). If you bring her back, it will be a resto for the books, that's for sure! I have been working on a '39 Six for a couple of years and have a fair bit of extra stuff that you could have for real cheap if it would be useful to you. Most interested to see how you make out. Keep us posted.
