For the prewar senior cars that take the Group 4, I prefer the heavy duty truck/bus lead acid batteries; more CCA and usually last at least 7-8 years.

Just can't stay away

I have a source for the correct 6v battery for my 23rd series car. They are lead acid. I just paid $120 plus tax to replace my 5 year old one, I bought it from the supplier too. They have 50 in stock but I bet the shipping would be kind of high.

Quite a regular

I bought a 1964 Studebaker G.T. Hawk with a yellow top Optima battery. If I don't crank the car once a week, the battery is weak. And it's only 10 years old, too. What can I say? My cat is older than that battery, but then, he is getting weak, too. God bless them both.
