Jack,
How does the oil pump conversion address the vacuum pump mounted to the bottom of the original oil pump?

It eliminates it so you either keep vacuum wipers without a booster pump, or convert to a double action fuel pump with a vacuum booster section as many car manufacturers did, or convert to electric wipers. The first option gives pretty marginal wiper performance and not recommended.

Thanks for the info. That makes sense and since I had decided to go to electric wipers anyway, that takes care of that issue.

Greetings, all. I'm looking for contact info for obtaining the adapter required for the Olds oil pump conversion for a '56 Golden Hawk.

Thanks, Bob
