give up your secrets JW....that looks suspiciously like the flared end of a piece of leftover brake/trans line

It is exactly that, a piece of a flared steel tubing. This simple mod really made getting to the clamp bolt an easy chore. Hope all is going well with you, take care. JWL

There were three: 37 Six Convertible Coupe, 47 Custom Super Clipper Touring Sedan and 55 Clipper Super Sedan.

The 115C is in Belgium, the Custom Clipper is in northern Virginia, and the 55 Clipper is in Baltimore area.

In addition, during the time I had the Packards others shared garage space with them. 73 Datsun 240Z, 63 Studebaker Avanti, and a 30 Model A Roadster Hot Rod. Only the Roadster remains. Before these adventures I started with a 39 Cadillac 60 Special. Although, I should include a new acquisition a 99 BMW Z3 Roadster.

So many cars, so little time.

John,

Co-incidently, your '47 Custom Super Clipper Touring Sedan is one of the "Recent Photos" on the right side of this page!

Thanks for that pictorial answer John! Beautiful cars! I bet you were sorry to see them go, even if it was 'time'. Chris.
