I have a couple 1940 110 drums but according to the parts book, they are different than 1939 and the only ones for 1939 were sold with the car. Sorry, I wish I could help more.

Don't really know much anything about wobbly wheels. But thinking, if it's not the hub/brake drum, could it be a collapsing wheel bearing that's causing the wobble?

In my search for a replacement, I went to the parts list and came up with 315662 as a part # for a 1939 Six, rear brake drum. Can somebody better at it than me, confirm I have the correct #?? Chris

Mal, thanks for weighing in, and the suggestion but the 'wobble' is side to side, not up and down, so it would point more to the drum.

Confirming, rear brake drum for a 1700 is p/n #315662.

I like to update these posts, mostly to be able to confirm the 'correct answer', in case anyone else can benefit from my follies, and to thank those who responded with advice and help.
I was able to procure a replacement brake drum/bearing housing assembly from a fellow Packard Info member up here in Canada (huge thank you!) and am very pleased to report that my back wheel is 'spinning true' again. I'm really glad it WASN'T the axle as I had initially thought it to be and thanks to those who weighed in, suggesting the likelihood of it being the drum. I sure like getting these things 'figured and fixed', keeping the car on the road and performing properly. Thanks again, everybody! Chris.
