You are correct HH, go back to page 2 and my picture shows them in upside down! Ross told me the error of my ways and they work much better wide side up. Great bellows seal now. What is it Murphy said? It usually holds true to my 1st guesses too!

It seems to me that my 1939 had some kind of wire or clip in that slot to keep them in place on the arms by adding friction. That was so long ago, though, that I may be mis-remembering.

Pedal seals in place. Only thing accomplished today as we had many errands to run after work. I just wanted to get those in place before I forgot and buttoned the toeboard up.
But I did manage to pick up a sheet of 16ga steel to start making the firewall patches and engine cover. Firewall is probably 14ga. But even 16ga is going to be challenging to be cut and bend. So it will have to do.

Kev I have some good photos of my 37 115 c. firewall panel with the boot at its side. I think the panel you have is from a column shift car. Sorry I can’t post a photo here. iPad. If you send me your email I’ll send you some shots. drose208@comcast.net.

Heard back from Rick, the 37 Roster Keeper. He currently snow-birding in Vegas. But once he gets back to B.C. in the early spring, he'll check to see if he has any ownership history on the car. I know Mark got the car from Calif, but that's it. Patent plate was not stamped by the selling dealer.

This was done in 16ga cold rolled steel. Which is much harder to bend than 18ga, but closer to the toeplate thickness.
