We will have a 1937 Super Eight sedan for sale around summer of this coming year. Car is a complete rust-free California car. Engine is also complete. We will attempt to get it running to determine its condition.

We are using it as a parts car, but are taking very, very few parts from it. It is basically being used as a guide in putting together another car.

I am going ahead with the repower using a Ford 351W, C6 trans, and 9" rear with 3.0 gears.

Therefore, FREE to a good home is the complete Super 8 drivetrain. The front is off the car; engine and trans are ready to be pulled. Location is Minneapolis.

A $1000 deposit, fully refundable when the parts leave, is required. Time is of the essence, I want the stuff gone.

Ed Boersma 763-586-0700 NO texts or Emails, calls ONLY!

Thanks!!!

Very generous of you. Somebody needs to grab this drivetrain. The Super 8 parts are becoming increasingly difficult to source. If I was anywhere near I would take the parts. But I'm all the way across the country.

1. From the sound of things best use for a boat anchor/scrap/Museum piece?
2. Numbers aren't right for year to boot.
3. A bit too cold to drive to MN anyway. Three strikes, I'm out!

It happens more often than not in old cars.

Strike #4: bring your tools because you'll be pulling it yourself.

If it were a '47 Super 8, we'd be onto something . . . .

If you're not having fun, maybe it's your own damned fault.

There is also a Minnesota Packard Club but it looks like their website is down:

Yes, it may well be scrap but before I throw it thought someone might be able to use something.
Updated numbers: crankcase 398573A; block 231454 with a cast date of 12/28/36; body 337965; vehicle 1016-562. I was not looking for a 'numbers matching' car, and after 85 years and unknown history, it may well be a 'mutt'!
I will help pull it, and no, outside tools are not welcome in the shop. We have an adequate supply of Snapon and Milwaukee.
Just saying - the price is right!
Thanks!

I think '37 Super Eight parts are desirable. Only trouble is connecting them up with someone who wants/needs them and can come and collect them. As you said, "the price is right". If only I were 10,000 miles closer.
