Since the exact acorn bolts are not reproduced, I "made" by own. Chrome acorn nuts and stainless threaded rod. The stainless rod was locktited in the acorn nuts. Then it was installed with chrome washers.

Not an exact replacement, but looks correct.

That looks very nice! Your backup light is asking to be treated the same.

Kev, I would wonder if other drivers saw you signaling for a turn would understand it is a turn signal with one of the headlights blinking. They may just think it is a cute way to signal a greeting to others. Drivers understand what a blinking turn signal is, but probably not a blinking headlight. I would recommend separating the headlights from the turn signals. Just my opinion...

I could wire up a relay so it works like my modern car. When I hit the turn signal, the headlight on that side turns off (if on).

I'll know more once I finish wiring it up and see if what it looks like and how visible it is with the headlight on.

Installed the correct oval chrome slotted bolts on the trunk rack. Still looking to find the trunk car knobs.

Also, need to replace the red hex bumper bolts with the shorter version that is needed for the flat trunk rack bumperettes. So currently having to use a some washers as spacers.

First photos from the gentleman doing the woodgraining on the dash panel and door moldings.

This is right after the ink was applied. It has to dry for many days before it can be clearcoated. But even at this stage, I think it looks fantastic.

I was finally able to get all the paperwork squared, and now the 115-C is officially titled and registered to me here in Illinois.

That ended up being much easier than the hoops I had to jump through in Calif with the '54.

That wood grain looks excellent. Can't wait to see how it all looks together.

Congrats on getting it titled and registered. Feels good to have it official.

Titling in Washington was easier than I thought it would be. I brought the title and '54 license plate in, paid the fee, and then had a title mailed in a few weeks. I registered it as a classic, which means I never have to register it again. The best thing is apparently my license plate is actually a trailer plate, which I find out later.... They didn't care. Eventually I'll replace it with a better and more correct plate.

Mine still had the ownership paper from her last renewal in 1960. The people at the Service Ontario office had never seen a typewritten one! Made me feel old as I remember my first ones, sitting beside the clerk at the office while she typed them up, first car was Silver Grey in colour, she said you can pick one or the other but there is not room in the title for both!
Good times!
