Die Copien sind aber auch ned ohne was Ich da so gesehen habe. In wieweit sind die Identisch mit Packard? Von einem Pacific gibts es aber keine Kopie oder?

Not very illuminating (but kinda funny).

Interesting how customs differ. Here, the hearses of that era almost always had windows with velvet coverings positioned so the departed's casket could be seen. Funeral parlor name in dignified letters of course. Lately with no wagons made so requiring the conversion of standard cars by the coach companies, they are more like the Chaika with blank sides--dignified name still in view, of course. I think they are called Landau coaches if blank sides and State coaches if they have windows.

If they were smart they would have hooked a bottle up to a windshield washer pump and made a tap in the back seat....Been there, done that......

The Trabant red light does not look out of place in your picture. The mirror looks a little small but by your comment you make it sound very unusual for either combination to happen? I think they look pretty good--better than the mud flaps which seem out of place to me on anything but a truck.

The red sticker probably says to fill the radiator up with genuine Studebaker-Packard antifreeze.

All in jest, Gerd. I can't read label print to even attempt a translation so guessing maybe something to do with it being an official car so it has a special engine or components or to make sure hood is securely latched.

You can't tell the lights or mirror are of poor quality from the pictures but coming from a Trabant, maybe should have guessed that.

Gerd, yes I do know exactly what that sticker says, and the one you sent me is safely put away in my display cabinet with all my Packard and Hudson stuff. I'm too scared to try and use such a gift from a good friend, and end up destroying it, so there it will stay.

One thing though, is that Mal in the back seat???
