You all know how it goes trying to buy parts for your car right? You think you found the correct part, you talk to the seller and then you get the part and it isn't what you thought it should be.
I bought a nice rechromed rear Bumper intended for a 1940 Packard 120 Club Coup. But .... the bumper I bought is 4.75" wide x 66.5" long with nine holes in it (from each end to center the holes are 5.75" square, 10.75" round , 15.5" round, 18" square with a square middle hole of 34"). The original bumper on the car, that has a trunk rack, is 4.25" wide and 68" long with holes from each end at 7", 11" and 16"! The seller assures me the bumper came off an all original 1940 Packard 120. I don't see this shorter bumper wider bumper listed in Packard accessories for 1940. It is definitely not a 1941 bumper.
