Did you check the Packard parts dealers such as Tucson Packards, Max Merritt or Kanter's to name a few or check into getting yours re-cored? That would be the place to start. As far as I know there are no modern ones that are a direct replacement.

There is nothing aftermarket anyone has found that is a direct drop in and NOS radiators are all but extinct so a recore is probably the way you will need to go if you want authenticity and the stock look. If you are not that concerned about authenticity and more concerned with cost then some Ford radiators have been adapted to fit the Packard cradle. Fairly recently another member mounted a Ford radiator and wrote a paper on the procedure. He posted his efforts on the forum so it can be downloaded.

G'day Archhotrod,
to PackardInfo.

I invite you to include your 56 400(I assume 500 was a typo?) in PackardInfo's Packard Vehicle Registry.
