Same 2 prong for 1941-1958. I believe it's easier to access from under the car.

It's on the front of you brake booster, and yes easier to access from underneath. Test your switch and check your wiring, it could be either.

And if you have manual brakes, the switch is still on the front of the master but is a little harder to see from above.

You can get one at any auto parts store as it was used on countless vehicles. Yes, it's under the car at the front of the cylinder.

Wasn't there talk about the new switches being prone to failure? Is this correct? If so is this because of different brake fluids?
Bleed your brakes after you replace the switch.

Pretty much everyone uses DOT 4, so as long as the switch is compatible with that.
DOT 5 could be a problem though.
