Hello new to forum, trying to determine original colors of my 1937 120C car
I have VIN, body # and engine number
would love to know original paint and interior trim colors
sorry I am sure this is elementary but cannot seem to find answer anywhere

Unless you find any original area of the car that hasn't been painted or have original paperwork, there is nothing in the Vehicle Number or stamped on the car that will reveal the original color.

You can take a look at the 1937 Salesman Folder/Databook which states all the available colors, and corresponding pinstrip colors, as well as upholstery colors.

You'll find that in the Literature Archive.

Underside of the hood panels are rarely re-sprayed well too, might be easier to find a spot, or maybe even removing the side hood grilles will expose original paint, they are held in with 4 bent tabs and the steel is good quality, I had no issue removing and re-installing mine. Mine had been painted 4 times but the original black was under those grilles.
