I have piles of old hubcaps for your car. What condition do you want?

Sure, since you are new and have a most ambitious project ahead of you, I'll send you my 4 worst ones (which are not that bad) for free if you pay shipping. I'll send a photo later.

I suggest you clean them with oven cleaner and polish with barkeepers friend or chrome polish.

Then get a red, and black, paint marker and trace around the ridges then fill in. Only a couple minutes each. Or, the red hex can be masked and spray painted instead.

If those are Packard wheels, then they used this type of wheelcover but I am unaware that they were used prior to 1951 so they may be from a later model.

As for the type your car should have, be aware that there are two different types that look identical on the outside but are not interchangeable. Of course, they require the type of wheels with clips.

Thats why i posted... there are no clips, just holes in the rims, maybe the clips were removed??? There is another wheel in the spare well, with body matching paint and a trim ring.. No hubcap... So i think they are original... im guessing they used the later style hubcap... The VIN is 2382-5-9520 so its a pretty high serial number for a 50.... Maybe it had the later hubcaps on it???

Packard had a several ways of attaching wheel covers and one was to use the clips and the other was to use the three lumps around the center which the cover I showed above used. Your wheels never had clips as the holes are not there so you have the wrong wheels but that doesn't mean you can't find the cap for those wheels and use them! I see lots of them on eBay which is where I got the photo and they would look great on your car.

Having said that, there was a cap that fit 23rd series models 2302 (BODIES 2372-73), 2332 and 2306-33 without clips which had part number 446304 and as far as I can tell it looks like the one in the photo I posted above as it also fits certain later models. However, I don't see it fitting your model 2382 so again I think you have the incorrect wheels and I doubt being a late model has anything to do with it but there's no way to be sure.

For the sake of completeness, there was a third way to attach the cover used on some 1951 and later models, which was for full wheel covers that attached using their own clips to the inside of the outer rim. Those are inappropriate for 1950 and earlier, though.
