I’ve had good conversations with both the Executive in Louisiana and the Patrician in PA. Both cars are good cars. The Patrician in PA is a single color car that was poorly painted over in the darker blue and needs a lot of chrome and trim replacement, however the seller is very upfront and reasonable with the car. I’ve made an offer on it. The Louisiana car is really nice as well, I still think the price is several thousand above me getting on a plane to go see it and potentially paying to trailer it back to NC. But yes, these two are the two at the top of my list currently.

The Patrician has a new grille and bumper; I know this because I bought the old one when he hit a deer. The only casualties were the grille and one bullet. I don't recall him mentioning any hood damage. You many want to ask though. I believe I also bought a pair of taillights from him, so I don't think it would really need that much chrome work. For cars with show-quality chrome and the rest of the car matches, I would expect an asking price of at least 17k for a Clipper and a bit higher for a senior car. The reason being that good chrome HAS to be redone for a bunch of money, and owners who spend that much on their car are unlikely to want to sell it too much.

If chrome is very important, I would consider a highly original car that needs chrome, and just redo the chrome for a few thousand. In that particular instance, the value of the car could rise substantially in accordance with the money spent on improvement.

Paint needs a bit of TLC, but other than that I see very little to complain about for $9500. What's not original appears to have been sanely restored to a high driver quality. Aftermarket radio. Nebraska.

Patrician in Pa. has Clipper steering wheel, don't know what's going on with the dash pad, and I don't see the circuit breaker on the fire wall for the power windows. How's the "torsion level" condition? Ride height looks good, but is it operable? There was a '56 Patrician go through Williamsport, Pa. last Wed. or Thurs. on the back of a roll-off. I couldn't get to see the name on the wrecker door, too bad. PB

Nice to see your 1951 but the VIN appears to be missing some digits. It should begin with 2492-XXXX

Looks like a solid driveable Patrician for reasonable money. Of course that's an asking price. Worth a go and see, or a 3rd party inspection if you're serious. PB
