All 288, 327, and 359 manifolds will bolt up to all 288, 327, and 359 engines; the ports and exhaust pipes will line up. You can put a 4 bbl setup on a 51 business coupe or a 2 bbl on your 54 Caribbean in the fruitless search for better gas mileage. There are small differences in choke stove plumbing that are easily overcome.

The only difference I can find between a 288 and 327 2 bbl intake is that the runners on the 288 are slightly smaller--probably to provide a slightly higher mixture velocity to minimize bogging on acceleration. The ports on all engines are the same size.

Are the manifolds so bad they cannot be welded? Are there competent welders in your area. A little heat (400 deg) some nickel rod, then packed in hot sand for a slow cool can work wonders with cast iron. PB
