Gerd,

Is it Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and his wife Lyudmila Aleksandrovna Putina on their wedding day 28th July 1983?

Gerd,

Looks like my 10 minutes are up, best you put me out of my misery.

BTW - I find the PINK colour amazing on a Soviet vehicle of that era.

Gerd,

I wasn't absolutely certain my answer was correct but considered it to be a reasonable reply. So when you started to streeeeeetch out your confirmation it certainly created more doubt in my mind.

Talk about two contrasting pictures.

The first of a very nice looking car, complete with some fancy privacy screens and sitting next to an impressive building must be for someone important.

The other picture of a lady deep in contemplation and apparently in a store selling what appears to be toilet plungers and vessels which seem to have an awfully wide lip to be cooking pots must be for the average citizen.

I hope it's cookware. With the extra wide lip and on a shelf next to toilet plungers, I was thinking something else might sit there besides a lid.

Rather like the red & white combo--better than the earlier red & whatever tan. That shade red is subtle, not flashy and seems a good fit. Hadn't noticed in other picts how the instrument details so closely resembled the Packards. Is that a screw or a lock just above & left of clock?

I wonder what the screw by the clock held?????? I don't find it unsightly. It's a nice finish screw with french washer. They are used on the 56 Packard door panels.

Post #263 and 264 above. Were those pics taken in Russia???
