I have seen that first hand. He is like a Packard Parts Ninja. There one second, then gone. Then next thing you know he's right next to you. Very stealthy!

Actually, those photos were due to my being captive and tethered to the PACA Swap Meet Tent. "An Objective Non-Interested Party" was needed to set prices for the club parts. Notwithstanding the fact that I was attacked by a brake drum being dropped from about 8 feet above my left big toe (a 41-47 Clipper 6 cylinder rear, if it matters), I was there for about 6 hours straight, thankfully kept barely alive by liquid refreshment brought by PeterPackard....and now back to the regularly scheduled string...

G'day all, Here is a snap of the Flackmaster (on the left) and Peter Packard ( on the right), in their natural environment, at the PACA Mittagong Rally in 2009. Looking for some part or other!

David's like the neighbor from the 90s TV show Home Improvement. You never see his face! This make identification so much harder!

Yes Kevin, Wilson I believe. Oddly, when accidentally discovering the true identity of Bat-Flackmaster, I had to sign a non-disclosure contract. I have to hand it to our Australian brethren in Packard collecting, luring the Flackmaster under that car and then snaring him was very clever. I bet that's how Crocodile Dundee would do it!

First day of Autumn(US = Fall) here down-under and it was off to help Noel photograph, identify, sort and box more of PACA's Club Stock of Packard parts. There were 4 pallets of parts to start with last week and this has been consolidated into 3 pallets, one of which has been sorted and boxed as mechanical parts with some body parts, mainly not too good grill shells and grills with one '39 slightly crunched right rear mudguard(US = Fender).

Again no real gems but there was a fruit box full mostly of used, and some new, pistons and another box with 7 clutch plates and numerous NOS 6 and 8 clutch linings. Did find 6 x NOS clutch pivot pins, and this after Wade had had a couple machined up over the last year. Also found a pair of 55-57 Chebby lower front suspension arms, these will be on Aussie eBay soon to move them along. And I'll be back at the warehouse on Friday to work through the other parts, still some mechanical stuff to do and there's also body and trim parts, with some NOS.

Actually down at the workshop this morning for a couple of hours, again cleaning parts ready for painting. Also had a few little pieces to do for Wade so they are now ready, with painting likely to be either Monday or Tuesday next week, babysitting and PACA parts sorting permitting. And if you're reading this in New Zealand Wade - A couple of days ago a parcel from Max arrived containing a thermostat for Big Red. And Wade, don't forget, bring back plenty of Packard pictures!

The Chrysler Royal is interesting. Royal was a Dodge model in the 50's here & while the tailfins look somewhat familiar, the car does look different. What year if you know?

Howard,

Sorry, don't know the year but from a quick google search it looks like they were made from '57 to '64, see the link below which contains a lot of interesting info on these cars.

Friday 5th March 2010

Another day spent with Noel photographing, sorting and boxing Packard parts. Arrived to find PackardInfo member packard34, Mat, already there. Got to work with Mat's assistance until Noel arrived a little later. During the course of this did find a part I needed for the '41, a rubber grommet! Only trouble is, I need two of these not just one, but one's still better than none! Took over 400 pic's but still have to caption these and draw up location diagrams for the boxes they are in as well as compile lists of the parts. Still have a full pallet and part of another to go but progress is being made. Noel and I meet again on Wednesday for another session. Also dug out some NOS bumper over-riders, a pair of front quarter windows and some door locks for new PACA member Chris who's just imported a '48 Club Sedan and a '54 Clipper Club Sedan. And yes, I've told Chris about PackardInfo and the necessity to include his Packards in the Packard Owner's Registry! Just received an email from BillB concerning his '37 120-C Coupe Roadster, it's excactly 31 years to the day when he first purchased it, the 2 pic's below span the 31 years.
